I've seen Michael twice now and I'm on track to see it a third time this weekend. Even before my first watch, it was evident that I was extremely hyper-fixated on the magical angel that is Michael Jackson.

This man really has no business being gone.

I got into MJ back in my younger years. I was transfixed by this dancing man on my computer. I watched all his videos, tried to learn all the dances (and failed), played the Michael Jackson experience, and collected magazines and posters like a groupie. To this day, I even wear an MJ shirt from his Thriller Era. That goes to say Michael Mania is not something new. Its been here for a long time. What's changed now is the level at which Michael is being thrust out into the masses. The biopic has brought upon a resurgence of Michael Mania to those who deemed it a childhood phase (which appears to be everyone). Atop that, it has even created brand new fans.

But, what is Michael Mania exactly? How is it that one listen or watch of MJ content automatically hooks your focus?

He isn't just a musician. He isn't just a performer. He also isn't just a theatric. There's something distinct about Michael that separates him from all musicians and artists, even if their artistic DNA is made up of a lot of his. K-Pop, for example, is the closest thing I can think of to MJ. K-Pop gives you costumes, choreography, concepts, and banging vocals. I was even hooked onto K-pop because of how much it felt akin to Michael. But even StrayKids (and I LOVE THEM) cannot compare to Michael. Michael was one of a damn kind. It's not just the artistry that sets him apart, it's where his artistry is coming from.

Michael Jackson was magic. He was almost God-like; this man had people fainting at the sight of his little 5'9 body. And, I don't say that to be blasphemous or go on a tangent about how I'd let his jaw slice me any day. I say this because MJ himself has spoken on how he credits God and his angels for the music and lyrics that flow out from his mind and onto the page.

Michael was completely tapped in to his inner soul and the framework of his emotions. Ergo, he communicated with the spirits above frequently. He let his higher self create and his inner child play. Heck, he'd sit in trees and wait for nature to bring him the music. That's like Disney level magic, pure nature witchery.

The reason MJ is unskippable and in a league of his own is because of the messages that his art speaks. He let the angels speak through him, sending out a message of love and healing. His music is supposed to make you feel joy, self-love, and want to dance in celebration. Its there to heal you and incite some kind of change within your soul. Basically, he is touching the deepest parts of your soul and that will always change someone for the better. Think about it, what other art, film, literature, theatre, or music stays with you like that. It's always the pieces that are deeply intertwined with the very spirit of the person who conceived it. That is and will always be good art.

At the end of the day we should all be leading from love and with love as MJ did. God, the universe, Buddha (whatever you wanna call it) calls us to stop fighting one another and spread joy and positivity onto the masses. That's what MJ wanted too.

So, yes, he is God-like.

What's the point? What happens now that we all have Michael Mania? What should we do with all this new energy?

You honor it & you honor him. He used his platform to share love and light and if his message has reached you, it means it's your turn to listen to your own inner child and higher self. What special messgaes to you feel you have to share with the world? That little voice that screams ideas at you, whether they be about art, finances, calling a friend, or loving yourself harder, follow that. That is what God would want and what MJ would want. Lead with light and never ever let anyone (not even yourself) dim that beautiful shine that I know you have.

Share your stories and dreams. The world may need to hear them more than you think. I'm sure MJ would love to hear them.

I just know he's excited and praying for a world built on love and light.
